Hey everyone,
So, after popular demand I just created 3 more indexes, by decade, by genre and by country of origin. Note that many movies are tagged in not just one genre but several so you’ll find them in more than 1 category, as well as films that are co-productions, you’ll find them in more than 1 country.
Hope you guys find it useful.

Last year I remember I saw here an albanian film about 2nd world war. It was about partisans and a group of kids. I can not find it anymore. May someone remembers the title?
Thank you!
This one:

I just saw your reply, thank you so much!
Thank you for this wonderful collection of films!
I’ve been looking up Japanese films available on youtube from the golden age of the 30s through 50s–Mizoguchi, Gosho Heinosuke, Shimizu, Shimazu, and so forth. Would you be interested in having the addresses to these films, in case you wanted to expand your library? I’ve also looked up early French films (Epstein, etc.), Bunuel films, and so forth.
Second, would it make sense in the long run to have a catalogue by director?
I remember there used to be a couple of albanian movies. Unfortunately they are no longer available. I am particullary interested in one. It plays during the second world war and follows a group of kids and partisans. Is there a reason why you deleted it? Could you please tell me the name of it?
Thank you!
This is a repost, please just ignore it. Thanks!
Excellent work….thank you.
An astounding find! films that only museums would feature accessible from your exceptional site. Overjoyed by this discovery.
………Much Appreciated !!!
Hi does anyone know where I can get episodes of The Alaskans with Roger Moore 1957
Strangely It seems like its impossible to find in any format.
Alex
Not having a clue how to use Chatango am using this forum to reply to a query by kurt in the Chat Room Thurs November 24th 2022.
Sounds as if what he’s looking for is Outcast of the Islands (Carol Reed 1951) with Trevor Howard. The only other suggestion I would have, considering he mentions Peter O’Toole and James Mason, is Lord Jim 1965, set in Malaya. But that’s in colour and I don’t know how it ends.
If anybody reading this could pass the information on to kurt in Chat room. Thank you. Apologies for using this forum for incorrect purpose.
Just to say: No, thank YOU, Jon, for passing that on. Lovely to hear from you again.
Hi Tom, yes, that is the mystery movie that I was trying to find the name of, thanks so much for identifying it for me.
No problem, Kurt. Glad to help. Don’t know if you’ve been able to actually find it but here in Britain it’s:
https://archive.org/details/OutcastIslands
Do hope it’s what you were looking for.
Thanks a lot for helping out Kurt, Tom! 🙂
Not at all, Jon; considering how this site and yourself have satisfied requests of my own in the past. Thanks for being so relaxed in regard to my ‘cheating’ by use of the Browse page,
Best wishes
Just came across this site and I have to say it is awesome! Thank you!

Osho gratitude will grow more and more because the master has not only made him aware of his wings but has pushed him into the sky and has given him total freedom. How can you be ungrateful to a person who has given you total freedom to be yourself, who has not tried in any way to impose any image, any ideal on you?
separate vacations film 1986 link required, thanks
Thank you for doing the Lord’s work, I’d love to help out if you ever need someone!
Hello,
would you like to add some films from Slovakia as well?
Hey Andy,
Yeah I should add some films from Slovakia for sure, any suggestions? Let me know and I’ll try to add some soon 🙂
Thanks,
Jon.
Hi Jon,
Congratulations for all your good work.
One request:
SOIS BELLE ET TAIS TOI (1958), directed by Marc Allégret, with Henri Vidal and Mylene Demongeot, in addition to being the first Delon-Belmondo collaboration. It’s available on OK.ru, which doesn’t allow me to download.
Excellent work. Cheers, Jon W. 🙂
This great, very useful. Thank you Jon for devoting so much time to do this. As a 78 year old, I just love the oldies and noir. The new movies do not hold up to the oldies as far as entertainment.
Excellent site. Many, many thanks. ✌💓
Jon, thanks so much for this. I appreciate your hard work and commitment to making a great film site even better!
Thanks for this great site!
Looking for films by Otar Iosseliani especially April and Falling Leaves. Any leads?
could you add any film from Kosova
I’m looking for the German film; Das Beste Stück ??? I’ve been looking for it for years. Hopefully with English subtitles.
Not available with subtitles unfortunately, sorry!
Amazing website
Congratulations and many thanks for your interaction with Avast, Jon. Normal service resumed…plus it’s good to know they listen.
hi, loving the site and content. just wanted to suggest perhaps a random ‘im-feeling-lucky’ type of button for when one can’t be bothered to choose a film themselves, also it would be another way to browse and discover the catalogue. thx
Yeah that’s a good idea but right now I’m having some issues with the site as I’m not able to add new things (wordpress things) so for now this can’t be done but I’ll keep it in mind for the future. Thanks for the suggestion, Simon! 🙂
Why no Palestinian films?
Hi Manel,
Yeah I see now that ‘Palestina’ is showing no results, I don’t remember which film I had available that I had to take down, looks like I forgot to remove the country from this page, I don’t list a country if there’s no films from that specific country on the site, if you have any suggestions for Palestinian films you’d like to see here just let me know and I’ll see if I can add them, if I have them I will, the more diverse I can make the catalog the better it will be imo, I’m always open to add films from countries that haven’t been added on the site yet feel free to contribute with suggestions 🙂 Thank you!
Thank you, Jon. I’ll get back to you.
I know this isn’t the place but addressing chico, olivia, velvetwhip on Chat Room re: mystery movie:
‘Female’ (1933) with Ruth Chatterton???
Bears some resemblance to what you’re searching for.
Oh, well, I tried.
Thanks for passing it on, Jon.
Only other that comes to mind, (now that Chico mentions it could be British,) is ‘Millions Like Us’ (1943) and then only because it’s partly set in an aircraft production factory.
I have just come across your site after searching for Brer Rabbit. I am so happy to find it here.
I was wondering about Oranges are not the only fruit. I will book mark this page. My new favorite site.
Is there a way to search for a specific title without having to scroll down the entire Index?
Hey Donald,
Yes, click on the magnifying glass icon at the top right and enter there the name of the film you’re looking for.
It would be necessary an index by authors…
But thank you for all
I know one’s not supposed to post requests here but someone asked about Palestinian films here. I would like to see them too.
Here are some suggestions:
Palestine by NIck Macdonald (1972)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3528366/
Two films by Rashid Masharawi the director of “Ticket to jerusalem” which is featured on this site
Curfew (1994)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109996/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_15_dr
Haifa (1996)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109996/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_15_dr
And three films by Michel Khlefi, probably the most known of palestinian filmmakers
Fertile memory (1980)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0121278/?ref_=nm_flmg_t_10_dr
Available at archive.org but without subtitles
Wedding in Galilee (1987)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094229/?ref_=nm_knf_t_1
Nashid el-Hajar (1991)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0175512/?ref_=nm_knf_t_3
Tale of three jewels(1995)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111354/?ref_=nm_knf_t_2
Keep up the great work Jon and keep this goldmine alive!
I appreciate it tremendously!
Rarefilmm is Back!!! Best Christmas Present Ever!!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Web looking better than ever! Thanks for the hard work.
Where can I get this movie: « Les Requins de Gibraltar » 1947. It’s a French movie. Directed by Émile-Edwin Reinert. I have been looking everywhere for several years. I would like to get it or know if it can be downloaded. It’s seems untraceable. Thank you for your precious help !
You site is heaven for cinephiles. Thankyou for exposing to the great cinema.
This site is like treasure; so excited I found, thank you!!
This site is really, seriously, awesomely amazing- thanks so much for all your hard work in putting it together!!
What a find. Bravo
Awesome. Outstanding.
Thank you, Oivind.. I never got around to listing some Palestinian films. I had no idea when I asked about them that not long afterwards we would be (well, some of us) overwhelmed by yet another Palestinian tragedy — horror. And how many creative people have been martyred.
I do hope, Jon, that you are able to add a few Palestinian films to yr treasure trove.
EXCELLENT site, I found things here that I can’t find anywhere else. I have several rare movies on DVD such as The Devils with Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave (uncut version-banned in the USA), Blood for Dracula, Flesh for Frankenstein and a few others. Could not find Wild Side anywhere else, thanks for your work.
Thank you, Square of violence 1961 Can you upload it to Okru site? I had it but it was deleted. There are people who want to watch.
Here you go Tom: http://rarefilmm.com/2024/07/square-of-violence-1961/
I had to post this one as unlisted since it’s from MGM, quality is very poor but it’s the only copy I’ve been able to find.
Enjoy!
I just watched The Brotherhood with Kirk Douglas. I could not find this film anywhere else, Thank you for having this as part of your collection. Great acting and great scenes of NYC. A very taut piece of work and love the family scenes and Douglas’s chemistry with Irene Pappas who played his wife. A real treasure!
What a superb site, thank you so much for doing this. One request please,or perhaps ‘ challenge’ may be more apt(!). A 1974 french film called ‘Ariane´ starring Isabelle Adjani. It appears to be extremely rare, but sounds fascinating. Cheers, thanks again for unearthing so many cinematic gems.
Did not see a SEARCH function.
Is one available and IF NOT could it be added?
ALSO, What is the possibility of listing TITLES REMOVED due to copyright issues?
