An ageing American cartoonists, Joey Wellman, makes a visit to Paris to attend an exhibition of his work. He plans to meet up with his daughter, Elsie, who is studying at the Sorbonne, but she has little respect for her father and fails to keep the rendez-vous. By chance, Wellman meets and is befriended by a celebrated academic, Christian Gauthier, an admirer of his work and, ironically, the man whom Welmman’s daughter has desperately been trying to meet for the past few months. Although he is feeling increasingly uneasy with French culture, Wellman reluctantly agrees to accept an invitation to spend the weekend with Gauthier and his entourage…

During the First World War, a Canadian soldier, devastated by the recent death of his fiancee, arrives at the frozen Russian city of Archangel. While billeted with a local family, he is astonished to discover a woman that may or may not be the lover he thought lost. Unfortunately, she is suffering from amnesia and remembers nothing of their former passion. A rival suitor, claiming to be her husband and who may also be suffering from amnesia, is equally unsuccessful at winning her affection. The melancholy story plays itself out against the madness of the Great War.
Satyajit Ray’s short film Two shows an encounter between a child of a rich family and a street child, through the rich kid’s window. The film is made without any dialogue and displays attempts of One-upmanship between kids in their successive display of their toys. The film portrays the childlike rivalry with the help of world of noise and that of music.
Ex-bounty hunter Talion comes home one day to find his house ablaze and his entire family slaughtered. He soon learns that the culprits are a gang led by nasty Ike Slant. While tracking the outlaws, Talion meets fellow bounty hunter Benny, who’s also after Ike. Initially mistrustful of each another, Benny and Talion are forced to work together when, during a shootout with the criminals, the latter is blinded and the former injures his shooting hand.
Writer/director Jeff Stanzler’s tough drama Jumpin’ at the Boneyard features standout performances from Tim Roth and Alexis Arquette as brothers struggling against the odds in New York City. Manny is unemployed and struggling to find himself; Danny, his brother, is a drug addict. Together they have one day to rebuild their relationship and retrace their childhood footsteps through the meanest streets of New York. Only with each other’s help can they find the strength to change their lives.
The first part of the film — popular science — tells of recent (mid-1960s) achievements in the exploration of the Moon. Scientists discuss the hypothesis of the origin of the lunar maria, about the temperature of the lunar surface and the supposed properties of the lunar soil.
The second part of the film — science fiction — shows how the Moon in the near future will be developed by people from a hypothetical first lunar mission to lunar cities and laboratories.
A poor church photographer wanders into the harsh realities of life in the city of old Manila. His camera is stolen by a kid. He encounters intimidation in his search for the kid and goes through other misadventures.
