OK — this is creepy. Since the relatively recent passage of my mother, for no particular reason, I’ve been re-reading everything I can concerning Heraclitus and his fragments . . .

I had a big grin on my face during a lot of this movie. The fellow certainly fell into a situation that most men would dream of. I enjoyed the nudity, and especially enjoy seeing male nudity in movies. These three ‘goddesses’ definitely brought him out of his shell. This was a very good movie.

Excellent movie. Very influenced by Eric Rohmer in its mix of philosophy, youthful beauty and dreams of love. It points forward to Rohmer’s final film Astree and Celadon. with a group of young women seemingly waiting the hero’s arrival. More wordless moments than in Rohmer, and the voluptuousness of bodies more overt.

Fantastic movie! It’s not really erotic, but just a nice story of a philosopher that starts to enjoy the ‘earhtly pleasures’ in life. He’s definitely in good hands!
