Banning (1967)


A playboy golf pro down is on his luck. Kicked off the circuit for alleged cheating he is forced to hustle for a living. Moving from one Country Club to another, he uses his talents to hustle golf and women while trying to stay one step ahead of an irate loan shark.

Note: Big thanks to Steve for sending me a copy of this movie, quite an upgrade from the lousy, low res. copy that’s been circulating on the net for years, unfortunately this one is also fullscreen and not the original 2.35:1 AR as it was shown in theaters back in the 60s but nonetheless a very good quality print.

    This movie was made in widescreen. Why is it pan and scan here ?

      This movie has not been released in WS unfortunately although it was shot in 2.35:1 like I put in the note above, this copy is from a DVD from Australia I think and it’s the best quality copy of this movie that exists out there even though it is a pan&scan copy, unless it gets an official release in the U.S. maybe a Bluray I doubt we’ll ever see it in widescreen like it was supposed to be seen.
