A gangster’s son sees his father rob and murder a man. The detective investigating the case, deciding that the boy will never tell what he knows if he’s locked up in juvenile detention, takes the boy home with him to spend some time with a “real” family, and the boy begins to form an attachment to the detective’s father, a retired cop.

In this musical, a young socialite reluctantly attends an exclusive school; she would rather be working on becoming a Broadway star. She is so determined to be one that she begins ditching her classes to work as a chorus girl in a musical. Following the show’s closing, she invites two fellow dancers to visit her home. Musical mayhem and romance ensue. Songs include: “On the Sunny Side of the Street,” “It’s So Easy,” “All I Know Is Si Si” (Doris Fisher, Allan Roberts), “Boogie Woogie from Nowhere” (Saul Chaplin).
Ann and Tom Howard arrive from the east to take up ranching. But Tom wants to return and forges his sister’s name to the deed and sells it to Larson. Eddie knows there is silver ore in the area and that Lawson, who killed the Sheriff, is out to get all the ranches. When Lawson appoints himself the new Sheriff, Eddie organizes the ranchers to fight Lawson and his men.
A poor peasant woman becomes a symbol of worker oppression in this somber social drama directed by Henry Barakat. Azziza is brutally raped by a guard when she goes into the fields to gather potatoes for her husband. She does not relate the incident to her husband who is suffering from an undisclosed illness. Azziza hides the pregnancy and strangles the baby after it is born, but she also dies soon thereafter. The migrant workers rally around her memory as she becomes a martyr to the cause of the struggling peasants.

February, 1978. Roberto and Aurelia are Cuban exiles living in New York City with their 17-year-old daughter. For ten years Roberto’s been the super of an apartment building, firing up the boiler, repairing windows, and moving bags of garbage. He’s homesick for Cuba, stuck in repetitive conversations about the Bay of Pigs, Castro, and life back home. After receiving some tragic news, Robert makes up his mind to quit the city and move to Miami.
Based on Bleier’s 1975 autobiography of the same name, it tells the story of how, after becoming a running back for the Steelers in 1968, he was then drafted by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Injured by a bullet to the thigh and a hand grenade to the lower right leg, Rocky is told that he will never walk again. Not only does he walk again after a long rehabilitation, Rocky returns to train with the Steelers. With the sympathy and support of his wife Aleta, Steelers owner Art Rooney, and coach Chuck Noll, Rocky makes the team again, and helps them become Super Bowl champions.
