Note: Only hardcoded copy available on source. Many thanks to tg5 @PTP for the rip. The source of this copy is a VHS made from a 16mm print of the film, on the original rip there were segments of “blank” screen time each lasting several seconds, most likely to change the reels, I cleaned this up to the best of my abilities and then stiched up all the sections back together with Losslesscut, no re-encoding was done. Examples of the transitions 28:54 & 1:14:28.
I have loved Japanese cinema for so many years, but had somehow never heard of nor seen this beautiful, simple film. Thank you for your efforts in making it available to viewers. It will stay with me for a long time. Sayonara.
Thank you for your work on this. Watched this film a few times, something special about it.
