Tell Me Lies (1968)


In the heart of London in 1968, the Beat generation of Ginsberg, the Black Panthers and the pop counterculture, three young English men, horrified by the photos of a wounded Vietnamese child, try to understand the spiral of violence of the Vietnam War and to overcome the feeling it gives them. Through songs, testimonies, and public demonstrations, Peter Brook signs one of his greatest works: A satirical film with devastating irony about the absurdity of war.

    Peter Brook Paul Scofield , and Glenda Jackson YES!!!! Been looking for this for decades. This curiosity is referenced in many memoirs of 1960s Brit Stage & Film and I’ve never seen it being screened anywhere here in the States. TYVM, Jon!

      Hey Gino,
      Only French VOBsubs exist for this film, here’s link for them:

      You’ll need to use a program like Subtitle Edit and do OCR to convert them to an easier to work with format such as .srt. If you never done this before let me know and I’ll guide you a bit, besides Subtitle Edit you’ll need to download the French dictionary package as it only comes with English when you download it.
