A spinster dreaming/fantasising anout a Ken-lookalike boyfriend.
Not a bad movie, but you gotta be prepared for a slooooooow ride.
I guess people felt different about time passing in the 70ies. Life was less hectic then, so a movie running only 77 minutes but feeling like 107 was no problem back then. But honestly, if you are patient, then this is worth a look!
Is it just me or is that lanky fellow getting taller and taller as the movie progresses?
Or is our female lead, the spinster, shrinking?
I also like the look of this movie, like the 8mm clips my parents shot on holiday in the 70ies. It even has that grain of dirt in the gamera lens.

Anyone got an idea, why this is titled A CITY’S CHILD? There are no children in this … just dolls… DOLL KILLER would be more appropriate.
I also like the music. It was actually released in a – nowadays very rare and expensive – 33rpm soundtrack LP on Havoc HST 4002 (Australia 1972).
Now I gotta see sth. faster moving …
