This movie portrays British poet/author Stevie Smith and her life with her beloved aunt through direct dialogue with the audience by Stevie, as well as flashbacks, and narration by a friend. The movie mainly focuses on her relationship with her aunt, romantic relationships of the past, and the fame she received late in her life.

    OMG! A WATCHABLE in-good-shape copy. Much appreciated. In 1979 I moved into my first residence completely on my own. It was a dank. rainy autumn day in my tumble down Art & Crafts era bungalow. I turned on the radio for background music while unpacking / setting up and heard Trevor Howard first followed by Glenda J and then, Mona Washbourne. Though American, I already knew these distinctive voices quite well. It was a recording of the live staged performance and it was just starting . . .
