The delirious last gasp of Third Reich cinema–a decadent fever dream of a death-desiring society dooming itself to final destruction. In glorious Agfacolor!

I wasn’t aware that this film was on this site! I remember seeing it discussed in HITLER’S HOLLYWOOD. Are there any other films from the Third Reich on here?

Wow! Have you created the English subtitles? Because they are not on the restored Bluray version … Anyway, this film is intimdating, mysterious, beautiful and moving – all at the same time and even more if you think about when and by which director it was made. A Douglas Sirk melodrama and Hitchcock’s Vertigo in a teutonic cross, and – whatever you may think about it -. an unforgettable film
