The Women of Pitcairn Island (1956)

Eighteen years have passed since the arrival of the Bounty mutineers on Pitcairn Island. The last of these mutineers has just died and the island is now populated solely by their widows and children including Thursday October Christian, son of Fletcher Christian. Onto this island now comes a band of shipwrecked sailors, bringing with them a lust for women and a greed for black pearls.

On the Fourth of July holiday in 1906, the Miller family prepares to celebrate in their New England home. Young Richard, 16, is a thoughtful and poetic youth in love with a neighbor girl, Muriel. When Richard’s messages of poetry to Muriel upset her prudish father, Muriel is forbidden to see him and forced to write a letter saying she wishes no more to do with him. Richard, devastated, sets out to learn the evil ways of the world and put his broken heart behind him.

These two modern day bounty hunters stand to make a fortune working on this case and reluctantly agree to work together. Armed with a Gatling gun and a dozen major league baseballs, Hardball and Gomez are on the chase of their lives. Together they’ve got to find a kidnapped baby, save a girl and catch the killer.. before they kill each other!
