Seeking the whereabouts of international gangster Nick Randall, the U.S. State Department seeks the help of Scotland Yard. Nick’s girl, Angela, is currently in a British prison, but has refused to give Nick away. So the authorities contact Gran’ Ramsey, a stoolie currently at the same prison as Angela, to have her arrange an escape for Angela, so the police can follow her to Nick. Gran’ stages a getaway, the two women taking with them a third, Marguerite, whose prison-born baby is about to be turned over to the welfare department. It is up to Gran’ to keep the police informed of Angela’s whereabouts without being detected by the escapees, while waiting for Angela to contact Nick.
