Masahiro Shinoda directed this?!? WTF. This is awful Same guy that directed Pale Flower and Double Suicide. He did it ’cause Shima was already cast and he wanted to direct her? It’d be several years before they were married but he clearly was crazy about her. Well, she’s awsome as always. Whenever the plot is dragging cutting to a close-up of Shima and that perfect face is the go to plan in a stinker like this.
