Based on George Ade’s play which, in part, was based on an incident in a 1902 election in Wyoming, with women’s-right-to-vote playing a large role. Here, Jim Hackler, local party-boss in a Wyoming county, has to decide to do what’s right and lose the election, or what’s wrong and win it.

1968, London. Luca, the son of an Italian rich owner, is living his ‘swinging’ years away from duties and responsibilities while his father wants him to be introduced to the family business at any cost. Luca is first forced to return to Italy, then he is kidnapped by his father’s collaborators, jailed into a sanitarium, put through the electroshock and other torments. Then, when ‘normalized’ Luca marries a woman who in reality is a psychologist paid by his father to brainwash him and turn him into a perfect businessman.

The daily routine in the village of Yugla is shaken by the statistician clerk Asenov who come with a mission to take the census of the hares in the locality. He makes the village mayor Bay Georgi mobilize the local men in realization of the absurd task. On the very day all the village men are in the field. The mayor, the teacher, the veterinarian… even an old men join the group. Naturally all the efforts failed in fulfilling the mission since not a single hare came into sight.
In a small Italian village, Primo runs a cheese factory, but one morning he witnesses his son kidnapped by terrorists. As the film progresses, he has two problems: paying the ransom the terrorists demand and trying to save his factory which might face bankruptcy. What’s a businessman like him to do?
