A young English tourist called Annabel meets a Greek shepherd during her vacation on a Greek Island. On their first encounter in a field, the shepherd approaches Annabel wanting to give her some almonds but scared of his rustic and rough appearance she misunderstands his intentions and runs away. Soon, he is found in prison accused of the supposed rape of Annabel. She regrets overreacting and tries to persuade the authorities to release him.

Marvelous, Jon! You keep amazing me with these films!
Hope your family issues are not too serious and that everything works out for the best, Jon. Take care!
thanks Jon for this rare enjoyable film
In 1981 I took The Magic Bus to Athens. I went to Plaka, bought some little flat sandals and I island hopped all Summer. Back in Athens I met a Greek boy, he had wild red hair. He looked like a young Al Pacino. He brought me warm salted Almonds in the morning. We fell in love. I stayed longer than I should have, but eventually I left. At the airport he and I cried. He ran up to the viewing terrace and watched me go.
I had long blonde hair, blue eyes and I was persued relentlessly by the Kamaki Greek boys😁 But it was only Constantine I responded to.
Now, 40 years later, that red haired Greek boy and I reunited and he sent me the two songs from this film with the video clips…he wrote ‘try to understand’…
In February, just before Covid-19 hit the world, this ‘Annabel’ went back to Athens. We met at the new airport. There is still something between us. Something sweet and beautiful.
Where can I buy the film please, I think it would be lovely to send it to him?
What a sweet story, Susannah, thanks for sharing it here.
I’m afraid I can’t sell movies but why don’t you send him a link so he can watch it? He should be able to stream it without problems if he doesn’t want to download it.
Thank you for posting. I have the soundtrack which i love and have been looking for the film.English subtitles too! One to watch over and over.
