Interesting, not entirely satisfying. It’s a movie that takes a lot of risks, not just with the subjective camerawork (entirely from the guy’s POV) but also with a double-idiot plot. He’s thinking with his penis, like all men, and she’s a tedious fool, although her foolishness is redeemed by being a typical beautiful blond French bombshell. Otherwise, the director borrows from Godard, Bresson, Truffaut, Rohmer, the whole pantheon, in fact. Movies like this can be gauged by the viewer imagining how successful the exact same film would be with an ordinary-looking girl in the role of the blond French bombshell.
