RIP Max Von Sydow (April 10, 1929 – March 8, 2020).
Awesome Jon! A great actor. RIP.
Fantastic series not that well known outside of Italy. Dreamy, exciting, well cast with a terrific performance from Wadeck Stanczak in the central role and a sublime score by Franco Battiato. Rich in period detail, just delightful.
A brilliant film that represents very well the period Cellini lived, the actors are more than great, generally the film has a very interesting and quality artistic -made in Italy- touch, quite different from Hollywood style, renaissance period movies.
It was broadcasted by greek state tv at the summer of 1992, divided in more than three weekly episodes.
