This is not a complete history of the Spanish Civil War- the internecine conflicts within the Republican cause is barely mentioned for example. It is despite omissions a very powerful summary of the fascist revolution that overthrew a flawed democracy that fought to the bitter end to preserve its freedom from tyranny.
