Madame Gerard is a divorcee living the high life in Paris. Her current lover is the overweight Percy Talandier but then she meets Count Lerski and sets her sights on him. Then she hears from her ex-husband Adolphe that Lerski is not a count, but works as a waiter.

    Thank you Jon for this charming early look at Marlene Dietrich in a way that most American audences would never see her: as a young ingenue. It is a bit simple but utterly captivating & performances by Liedtke as the Count & the wonderful Hans Kiszar as the poor suitor, Chubby-Chops are equally delightful. A keeper for my personal collection.
