During World War II, David Simms pilots supplies between India and China over the Himalaya Mountains. One day he’s forced to miss a flight and is replaced by his friend, Bill March. March’s plane is lost en route and Simms feels guilty. Back in America he meets March’s widow, Elaine. They marry and then both travel to Tibet to learn more about March’s fate and about a mysterious Tibetan mask which has come into their possession.

The film is related from the point of view of Alsino, an impoverished Nicaraguan lad. While his country and its rotting buildings crumble all around him, the idealistic Alsino imagines himself to be a condor, flying far above his deprivations. It is during one of his hallucinations that Alsino jumps from a tree; the fall cripples him, turning him into a hunchback. He will only straighten out to his full proud height upon joining a guerilla band, fighting the corrupt government armies. Significantly, Alsino & the Condor was the first production to be filmed in Nicaragua after the Sandinista revolution and the overthrow of Somoza.

It’s 1865 in Missouri, and the Civil War has just ended. Rebel soldiers Hollis and Matt flee from Union soldiers that want to imprison them. Hollis then frees a black man named Duncan from a lynching, and they become a trio. Later, when Hollis wins a lot of money at the pool table and Matt doesn’t get any, the two soldiers become enemies. This leads to a showdown between Hollis and Duncan against Matt and the men he has brought in to get that money.
In this courtroom drama, a lawyer defends his sister’s fiance after he is accused of murder. The lawyer knows his client is guilty, and that another man, a sailor, also accused of the crime because he gambled away his gun, which became the murder weapon, but he must honor the confidentiality between he and his client.
