Renata and Carlo covet the same apartment in Rome. They first quarrel but Carlo finds an original way out: what if they married and shared the place? Renata agrees but on one condition: that she should be allowed to go on trying to find the man of her dreams. For a while suitors follow each other, each time ridiculed by Carlo. Things get harder however with Dino, a more serious rival. After dallying with the charming young man, Renata winds up realizing it is Carlo she really loves.

After narrowly surviving a traumatic brain injury, macho pro boxer Eiji Adachi (Hidekazu Akai) puts his life on the line for another chance at boxing glory—vying for a comeback despite the seriousness of his condition. A hyper-masculine brute with a devil-may-care attitude, the hot-tempered Adachi starts again from the ground up, launching his own Osaka training gym with the hopes of returning to the ring. At times comically absurd, Sakamoto’s film brings a satirical yet bleak approach to the self-destructive nature of the boxer, further bolstered by the very fact that the film is based on the life and career of lead actor Akai himself.

In a future United States, the only transport available to an individual is public transportation. Predicated on an assertion that “the oil has run out”, an increasingly totalitarian central government has ordered all personal vehicles be impounded by law. One man, a former race car driver, yearns again for his ability to choose his own roads and destiny. He reassembles his race car hidden from confiscation, and sets out for “Free California” which has broken away from the new regime, aided by a young technically savvy teen who feels alienated from this “social” society.
