Many thanks to ElectricRodBoy who sent me the Bluray audio synched to this scan, the original optical audio was very noisy in some parts and overall just not very good making the watching experience not very pleasant. Now we have the best of both worlds, film scan + Bluray audio for the best watching experience, I also synched the English subtitles from the Bluray. For those who aren’t familiar with open matte copies, basically this version of the film has a lot more picture at the top and bottom, at the expense of  a bit less picture at the sides, see a comparison here, unless you own a copy of this film on Laserdisc or CED this is the only way to see this film with this aspect ratio, although I suspect that the CED & LD disks aren’t as open matte as this one and probably have a bit less image at the top and bottom. Additional thanks to slumberdore for the scan and to RossMan for the AMC Back story episode.

RIP Teri Garr (1944-2024)
