A nudie movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola, which features Janet Leigh’s “Psycho” body double? I know what I’m watching.

Nice find ! You have been especially prolific with fresh posts lately, so I’m checking back more often than had been the case. Here’s hoping this might also imply a re-opening of the Requests section, at some not-too-distant juncture ?

      Thanks Gene.
I still have at least over 100 more movies to post, this month I’m probably going to be uploading more than October and November combined, I’m sure nobody minds that lol. As for the requests section, I’ll see if I can re-open on February ๐Ÿ™‚
      Happy holidays!
      Jon.

So I watched it, and…well, the genius of Francis Ford Coppola was not on display very much, outside of a couple of funny bits of dialogue. In its favor, though, the movie has some very, very good looking topless ladies, including Marli Renfro in what I was surprised to discover is her only film credit.

I know Jon is a busy guy but the thumbnail synopsis above is inaccurate. The movie isn’t set in the Wild West. Here’s how I’d summarize it:

“Two Puritan crusaders who are actually secret perverts rendezvous at a burlesque club on the Sunset Strip, with the intent of blowing it up. They hide a bomb that’s set to go off at midnight, and while they wait, they tell stories. One of the men, who is a cowboy, tells about a miner friend of his who was plagued by hallucinations of naked women. The other shares a story of how he tried to destroy an erotic photography shop across the street from his apartment.”

(Apparently the bit about the miner in the west was a pre-existing unfinished film that Coppola added a Framing Device to, as well as the story of the peeper destroying the photography shop.)
