When Simon is released from prison, he emerges with a bold kidnapping scheme. He enlists the help of an old cohort and his former lover, Martine, to kidnap a young boy. The child’s father is an employee at a bank, and the three criminals blackmail the financial institution, demanding $1 million in ransom. Out of fear, the bank pays the sum, but the kidnappers may have bitten off more than they can chew.

    I lost hope of ever finding this. Jean-Louis Trintignant has been a favorite of mine since I saw “A Man and A Woman” when it came out. I had a huge crush on him after seeing that movie and I try to see as many of his films as possible. So, thank you so much for all you do and for all the JLT films you’ve posted!

    A wild meta-cinematic ride from Lelouch at this prime. JLT here plays the very definition of the charming heel. Treats his friends and ladies like garbage and they keep coming back for more. But you kind of don’t blame them. A fun movie with an interesting temporal narrative structure.
