Like other Wild Bill Elliott westerns the script and production values here are well above average. Wild Bill has an interesting on-screen character in that he is not the typical hero. He is reluctant to become involved in preventing disorder – at least initially despite his capabilities – and often passes remarks that upset those who would otherwise warm to him.
