Alan and Mary are pretty miserable together and split up. As an very presentable Glaswegian photographer Alan soon has chances to find consolation elsewhere, but more and more thinks of Mary. She however seems a lot less keen to try again.
While on shore leave to celebrate his first anniversary, Lt. Peter Duluth takes his wife, Iris, to a Los Angeles hotel but is turned away. When mysterious Colette offers them her suite, the young couple becomes entangled in a murder plot. Aided by two PIs, Peter and Iris find two corpses and are desperate to locate Colette before she becomes the next victim, but the killers are one step ahead.
The setting is a ”new” Tokyo suburb. The school is clean, well run, and the movie takes place in the five-day period before, during and after a ferocious, seemingly liberating typhoon, which five of the students endure while marooned in the school’s gymnasium.

There Louis makes friends with Martine, the ten-year-old girl next door, and learns from her about life.

The figures that guide her most are Alfred, an officer who becomes a doctor; Axel, the lawyer that she weds, and the poet who may be the author of her dreams. What she observes and experiences makes her pity mankind.
This updating of the screwball classic about two brand new angels, a carefree rich couple on earth who have a devil of a time getting into heaven stars Kate Jackson and her then-husband Andrew Stevens (who also were the film’s executive producers) in the roles played in the 1937 original by Constance Bennett and Cary Grant. It also served as a pilot to a prospective new “Topper” series (the earlier one with Anne Jeffreys and husband Robert Sterling as the invisible twosome ran from 1953 to 1956).
A gang of thieves in Istanbul, led by a mastermind criminal known as “The Voice”, are planning to steal defense plans important to the protection of the Suez Canal during a peace conference to be held there. Larry Wilson, an American intelligence agent, is sent to the scene of the plot. The plans have been hidden in the jewel box belonging to a wealthy Egyptian attending the conference. As part of the plan, the gang hires Lynette Garay to assume the identity of a dancer known as the “Flame of Stamboul” and get friendly with the son of the Egyptian.
