Shishedo, a mortician, is grief-stricken when his favorite singer is killed in a car accident. As a result, he vows to help her get the most “appropriate” burial. Afterward, Shishedo disappears and leaves his co-workers to deal with the ghostly aftermath. In the next segment, Gigi wants a memorial service for her departed mother. Seizing the opportunity, Shishedo’s co-workers coaxed Gigi into purchasing tons of service materials from them. Upset at the greed, the ghost of Gigi’s mother returns to haunt the workers. Lastly, Hung was dumped by her boyfriend Daviv because the thought of her working at the mortuary doesn’t appeal to him. When Hung does the unthinkable to escape the pain, Daviv finds himself facing retribution.

The legist doctor, Juan Carlos Lozano, is in charge of investigating a series of murders of women. However, he wishes to renounce the case, since he has had nightmares about a mysterious man without a face. Without knowing what to do, he goes with his friend and psychiatrist Eugenio Britel, who encourages him not to give up on the investigation, as well as to start a treatment to discover the reason for his dreams.
A married couple purchases an abandoned house in the countryside. Soon they witness strange apparitions and events. Their son and moreover their prepubescent daughter are haunted by a poltergeist.

Pastel de Sangre is an anthology of four short films whose theme revolves around “terror throughout history” The first film “Tarot” takes place during the crusades. The second, “Nineteenth Century” is about the love triangle of Frankenstein. The third, “Terror among Christians” takes place sometime during the reign of the Roman Empire and the fourth and last, “The Dance”, is a contemporary ghost story.
