Ahhh EXCELLENT! Thank you, Jon!
Great Australian feature film of 80s era. Both moving and poignant performances from Judy Davis and Claudia Karvan.
A hidden gem. Fine acting and a good story line. 4/5
It seems odd for a movie in Australia to not have loads of sunshine and instead be very overcast. Initially I presumed it was in New Zealand.
Another example of great Australian cinema.
Love the site and the work you do– High Tide appears not to be available any more:

Ae there any options to see this film?
Decent film whose best, most poignant moments were of the mother, stealing glances at her daughter who she doesn’t know. As for the ending, two wrongs don’t make a right: both acting on impulse which both will regret. The daughter will eventually learn that her mother , who is still able to get by on her looks, is a loser.
