Based on D. H. Lawrence’s 1928 novel of the same name, Lady Chatterley’s Lover stars Danielle Darrieux, Leo Genn, and Erno Crisa in this controversial tale of adultery! After her husband is paralyzed from fighting in WWI, Lady Chatterley feels a loss of intimacy between her husband and herself, and decides to have an affair with the gamekeeper, a man of a lower class.
Director: Marc Allégret. AKA Lady Chatterley’s Lover

Not that great. But not as bad as I had been told. Sort of ‘half and half’. Darrieux is always fine. Big DH Lawrence fan here so I was curious to see it. The best adaptation to my mind is also a French production LADY CHATTERLEY (2006) directed by Pascale Ferran. (Ken Russell’s is not without interest but nowhere near Ferran) Thanks for posting this.
Very interesting ! the quality is bad though ….
Why you say so? I don’t think it’s bad, there’s no DVD release for this film unfortunately yet this copy was recorded from a TV broadcast, I think its very watchable, hopefully a Bluray/DVD release is coming soon.
