Morning’s at Seven (1982)

Based upon the Tony Award winning play, “Morning’s at Seven” is the funny, deeply poignant story of the four aging Gibbs sisters and their quirky families in a small Midwestern town in the 1920s.

Director: Vivian Matalon.
Stars: Maureen O’Sullivan, Kate Reid, Elizabeth Wilson, Teresa Wright, Russell Nype, Charlotte Moore, Robert Moberly, King Donovan, Maurice Copeland.

Note: Many thanks to Michael for sending me a copy of this taped theatre production, not very good quality for this one but watchable, it was transferred from a VHS recording of the original Showtime airing back in 1982.

Thank you for providing Morning’s At Seven, 1982. I also taped this when it aired, then transferred to DVD. But after disposing of the VHS, realized the transfer company did not include the final 8 minutes of the play. I’ve since searched the internet and now found Morning’s At Seven, again. This is an exceptional cast.
