Can you tell me where you got your copy? As you know, this is an extremely rare film. I am the Documentary Curator at the Academy Film Archive, and we are planning to preserve the film from the best surviving materials, as it appears that the negative is lost. We have the Eugene Jones collection at the Archive. I would appreciate any information you have on your copy. Thanks.
Hi Ed.
I believe this copy is the same that used to be available on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service until few months ago, what the original source is I don’t know but I’m judging by the looks of it I’d say it was transfered from the original film print, it might be from the Eugene Jones Collections you guys have at the Archive. Wish I could help you more but this is all I know. If you’d like to talk about any other rare Oscar films you can reach out to me at jon@rarefilmm.com.
Thanks!
This is my tribe (karimojong) and I can say it’s an excellent movie and this is truly who we are……I rewatched it over and over. I love it
Hello, I think the link for the movie is dead, could you please resend it.
It was a great pleasure watching this documentary, I’ll be sure to recommend it as much as I can. it’s not everyday that you get to witness such profound & great history in the Tourism and conservation of Uganda. Uganda is still one of the most beautifully rich countries in the world – naturally Gifted by God and I’m proud to call it HOME. Thank you.
