Note: Big, big thanks to David for sending me a copy of this ultra-rare and very hard to find film. The first 6 minutes of the film are in very poor condition I guess from damage on the tape from which this print comes from, but after that it clears and the quality is acceptable.
Update: After doing some research I found that this was released on VHS in the U.S. and Australia, might have been released in other countries as well, please if you have a copy that looks better than this one contact me, I’d love to upgrade it, happy to trade for other rare Oscar nominated films/shorts/docs I have that I haven’t posted. Thank you!
Jon, you are knocking it outta the park this week! I also love that other collectors out there are gracious enough to help you out with some of the harder-to-find rarities! Thanks, David!
This is a super find. Very pleased to be able to see it!
Thanks so much for this! Amazing and so rare!
Reminds me of the CBS CHILDREN’S FILM FESTIVAL.
Thank you so much for posting this movie. I watched when I was still a child and have been trying to find it for many years. It was amazing to be able to watch it again.
Hi. Thank you so much for post this movie! Im from Brasil and the little ark (in portuguese Os órfãos (the orphans)) made a huge sucess in the 80’s. But, unfornately, the TV company lost this copy dubbed. So, I search this movie since 1986. I couldnt fiind even VHS copies in Latin America. Regards from Brazil.
Hello! I am from Brazil and I used to watch this film on a TV program called ‘Sessão da Tarde’ or ‘Afternoon Session’ in the 80’s. After those memorable years, I have been seeking this film with no success at all. Today I gave it a try once again and then I came across your website. What a joy! I’m speechless! I don’t believe I have finally found it! Thank you so much for uploading this gem! I am really moved!
Oh my word, I’ve been asking my mother about the movie we saw in the drive in when I was seven or eight. A movie about a flood that showed a body floating past children. She kept saying we never saw such a movie but here it is! I’ve been haunted by this for years. Thank you
