I saw this in the mid 1950s in the only theatre in Christchurch New Zealand that showed foreign language films. I could not wait for the library to open the following morning to get Trevor-Roper’s The Last Days of Hitler out and learn more. I spent years looking out for this movie. I understand there was some discussion over the flooding of tdhe subways – whether or not it happened.

Very good movie, much much better than the previous one (It Happened on 20 July). Hitler’s madness is very well played and filmed.
