A trio of bored teenagers move from the small island of Fengkuei to the port of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan, revealing along the way with sympathy and quiet humor a whole social stratum dispossessed of the Taiwanese economic dream, wandering aimlessly without a clear sense of purpose.

The story of John Henry Faulk, a radio/TV personality of the 1950s, who was blacklisted during the McCarthy era. Faulk sued the organization that was behind the blacklisting, and the resultant trial, and Faulk’s victory, helped to put an end to the blacklisting period.
A TV-movie re-creation of the tragic events which followed the Attica Correctional Facility rebellion of September 9, 1971. Inmates demanding better food and living conditions took 38 guards as hostage. Negotiations begin immediately, only to continually break down thanks to uncompromising stubbornness on both sides.
Pilot disobeys unsafe orders and loses his job. He then starts a flying school which receives a boost when the government launches a program which it hopes will produce 20,000 pilots a year.
It is the year 2000 and the World Global Union is in charge, although other countries are allowed to elect their own government leaders, as long as they support the Union. When Austria’s newly-elected president, played by Josef Meinrad, makes his inauguration speech he declares Austria independence and issues an edict ending Austria’s financial support for the Global Union.
Cameramen and women discuss the craft and art of cinematography and of the DP (director of photography), illustrating their points with clips from 100 films, from “Birth of a Nation” to “Do the Right Thing”.

In this tender and touchingly humorous movie based on the acclaimed Broadway play, Scottie is a failed writer and a second-rate press agent. Terminally ill, he tries to reconcile with his estranged son before it’s too late.
Based loosely on a real incident, the film tells of the disappearance of a little African-American girl in a small, segregated community. Caucasian Claude Packard (Harry Morgan, the nephew of the town’s richest man (Barry Kelley), is the last person seen with the little girl. Sensing a cover-up when Morgan is not immediately charged, the black community is on the verge of a riot. But when it’s discovered that the little girl has fallen down a well, all racial differences are forgotten as black and white neighbors work shoulder to shoulder to rescue the child.
