When Reverend Robert Henley and his sister Faith arrive in the town of Hell’s Hinges, saloon owner Silk Miller and his cohorts sense danger to their evil ways. They hire gunman Blaze Tracy to run the minister out of town. But Blaze finds something in Faith Henley that turns him around, and soon Silk Miller and his compadres have Blaze to deal with.

Lash and Fuzzy have been sent to escort the new Governor to the Capitol City. West and his outlaw gang are out to stop them. When Lash’s first attempt is foiled, he realizes the Governor’s supposedly deaf and dumb servant is the informant and sets a trap for the gang.
In this western, a sheriff gets tired of upholding the law and retires to a quiet ranch. Unfortunately, he ends up saving his homesteader neighbors from a corrupt Wyoming land grabber.
A man tricked into enlisting in the Confederate army is later thrown into a hellish stockade on desertion charges. He eventually breaks out of the prison camp, reunites with his old partner and sets out to kill the man who was responsible for his being in the camp in the first place. However, after accidentally killing a Confederate officer, he finds himself pursued by a gang of vicious bounty hunters intent on collecting the reward put up by the dead officer’s widow.
Part of an outlaw gang rides into town to rob the bank and their accomplice is the local undertaker. The robbery goes awry and they are captured but the money is not found. While the prisoners are being transferred, the rest of the gang overpowers the posse, frees the prisoners, and returns to town. The undertaker’s wife finds the money and tries to flee putting the townspeople’s life in jeopardy as the outlaw leader plans to start shooting them unless he gets the money.
This drama offers a fascinating backstage look at the making of westerns. The story centers around a stunt double working for an egotistical, emotionally fragile cowboy star. When the stunt man sets his romantic sights on the leading lady, the leading man gets huffy and unsuccessfully attempts to frame him. Real trouble ensues when the fall guy finds himself in the midst of a real bank robbery and finds himself accused of being the thief.
To help relieve overcrowded prison conditions, the Mesquiteers turn their ranch into a work farm. Construction Company man Beaton is hoping for a new prison contract and sets out to see that the experiment is a failure. He lures the Mesquiteers away and then has his henchman dressed as prisoners rob the local ranchers and plant the loot at the Mesquiteers ranch.
The coming of the railroad to Cedar City spells the end of the stagecoach as the government gives the mail contract to the fastest means of delivery. McCord loses the stagecoach line gambling with the new buyer, but has enough hidden money to buy a ranch and some cattle. To make more money, he starts a gang to rob the railroad, express offices and steal cattle. But the railroads send out special agent Cameron to end his reign of violence.
