Nuclear war breaks out and the staff and patients of a mental hospital take refuge in an underground bunker and accidentally get locked in. Discipline soon disintegrates and the patients, led by Richard, start to resist authority. Richard devises a scheme for a new social order where the sane will take no part.
Based on a famous play, follows a bedridden wife who overhears a murder plan on her phone. She tries to piece the puzzle together and prevent it.
Learning of her mother’s serious illness, Isabel returns to her family’s farm on the Gaspé Peninsula. Her mother dies before she can get there, and when her aged uncle Matthew Asks her to stay on and help him with the farm, she reluctantly agrees. She finds herself haunted by memories of early years (domestic violence, incest and the mysterious deaths of her grandfather, who died in a freak accident, and her father and brother, who both drowned at sea) in a house full of eerie sights and sounds.
Roger is cruel, violent and pathologically jealous and his wife Maria is suffering for it. He hires McClure, a P.I., to follow her and confirms his suspicions. Roger pays McClure to kill Maria’s mysterious lover, but he botches the job.
After a terrible accident, a psychiatrist has to help Bruce to regain his memory. In flashbacks, we learn that his family had to flee from New York City, after his father uncovered a large case of corruption. Bruce didn’t know this for most of his life, until he found a passport with a different name in it. After the first shock, he tries to continue living like a normal teenager. Unknowingly, his cute little girlfriend “Patrick” brings them in danger.
Julia, an American woman living in Italy, becomes depressed and traumatized after her husband Paolo is killed in a car accident on their wedding day. Six years later, Julia inexplicably finds herself sliding in time between two different worlds, where in one she is still struggling with her grief over Paolo’s death, and in the other she is married to Paolo. In the latter time-line, Paolo is alive and well with their five year old son, and Julia is having an affair with a British gentleman named Daniel. The frequent supernatural sliding between these two worlds threaten to drive Julia crazy, as she begins having difficulty in telling them apart, and as she learns which world she is currently living in.
Deresco owner of a night club in neutral Portugal, works a free-lance spy for everybody who can afford his price. He tries to get information from US agent John Craig with help from immigrant dancer Maritza, but she falls in love with him. Craig becomes a special “guest” at Deresco’s casino, but there you can’t be sure of the occupation of everybody, as well as in their political intention…
When Marcel gets out of jail, his first order of business is to set things right with his estranged father, Albert, who is in failing health. His second goal is to reconnect with his old girlfriend, Julie, who now works in a strip club. As he tries to get his life back on track — and hopes to recover a pile of money his father secretly stashed — Marcel must contend with two crooked cops who are on his trail and also interested in the cash.
