Filmed in the autumn of 1975 prior to and during Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour – featuring appearances and performances by Ronee Blakley, T-Bone Burnett, Jack Elliott, Allen Ginsberg, Arlo Guthrie, Ronnie Hawkins, Roger McGuinn, Joni Mitchell, Mick Ronson, Arlen Roth, Sam Shepard, and Harry Dean Stanton – the film incorporates three distinct film genres: concert footage, documentary interviews, and dramatic fictional vignettes reflective of Dylan’s song lyrics and life.

ok,, great find saw rolling thunder review saw em in collins in the one they filmed and recorded i guess, in 1976 was cold and raining,, hard earlier then let up then they played,, i was hung over kegger night before, great show kinky Friedman sang i’m an asshole from el paso!! t bone burnett remembered he’s fucking good guitar, mick ronson good guitar joan baez great,, was a great show could just walk around the field the crowd was spread out,, think a lot of people didn’t show was overcast raining etc we had ponchos army surplus i had about four of em,,for everybody that didn’t have one we had about 7 people?? the reason i started looking at all this stuff was looking up kinky Friedman then i saw and then remembered he had died,, sad,, anyways need to catch dylan next time hopefully will come around again albuquerque he was here can’t remember but didn’t catch em think twice last fifteen years 20 years.
