RIP Anémone (August 9, 1950 – April 30, 2019)
Lovely film. Thanks, Jon.
We watched this one yesterday. It’s such a wonderful movie, that we wished it was a long running series, so we could keep on following the lives of the people in the village.
Recommended to anyone who likes heartwarming stories.
very nice movie
Beautiful
Very moving in some key scenes, and terrific acting by all the leads, the two young ones and the adults (great to see Richard Bohringer again, the cool Zen guy from DIVA). This is a great film about two little children discovering more of the world, but it’s not a movie suitable for viewing BY little children– the adult themes are more suitable for mid-teenagers on up.
I was even more touched by the story of the estranged couple Marcelle & Pelo, and what it takes for them to finally reconcile.
Thanks for the upload, Jon!
I just noticed in Wiki that Anemone won the Cesar Award for best actress for this splendid performance.
Oh, and Richard Bohringer won Best Actor at the Cesars for his role, too.
As i said, great performances by the adult leads…..
I love this film!
