When a blue-collar couple, down on their luck, accidentally uncovers a long-ago murder, they decide to blackmail the perpertrators. A race to the death ensues when the trio of ruthless industrialists responsible for the murder decide to eliminate the blackmailing couple.

King Henry VIII wants to divorce his wife, and seeks the approval of the aristocracy. This updating of the screwball classic about two brand new angels, a carefree rich couple on earth who have a devil of a time getting into heaven stars Kate Jackson and her then-husband Andrew Stevens (who also were the film’s executive producers) in the roles played in the 1937 original by Constance Bennett and Cary Grant. It also served as a pilot to a prospective new “Topper” series (the earlier one with Anne Jeffreys and husband Robert Sterling as the invisible twosome ran from 1953 to 1956).
A middle aged man spends his free time running. Especially since his wife spends more of her time on her work. He later meets another runner, a younger woman who inspires to compete in a marathon.
In 1969, the band Sweetwater led by lead vocalist Nansi Nevins opened Woodstock and subsequently got considerable media attention, appearing on a number of TV shows. But just as they appeared to be getting a really break big, they just disappeared. Thirty years later, a cable TV reporter for MIX TV, a musical station, is removed from her show because of being stoned on air. Her station gives her a choice of being dismissed or investigating what happened to Sweetwater. A blending of modern day fiction and past fact is then blended in this biographical story.
Kate is a high-powered, workaholic executive who discreetly takes time off from her work to live with her artist friend Holly, who reveals she has terminal cancer which leaves her with only six months left to live. Over the course of those months, things get tense after Kate accepts custody of Holly’s daughter.
The story revolves around Tom, who meets Sarah in the cafe in which she works. She is quickly swept up in Tom’s lifestyle, where she finds escape from her traumatic family life. The film follows her path into the world of clubbing and ecstasy, her personal relationship with Tom, and her growing family pressures.
