Mitzi Green’s Marx brothers skit is worth waiting for. The film captures the Little Orphan Annie sentimentality without the harder edge of the comic strip which having read it in reprint is surprisingly tough. There are some scenes that reproduce that grittiness for example when Annie steals an apple from a grocer who threatens her with the police or the orphans lining up to win over a potential adopter. All in all a depression era curio that deserves to be seen.. Again thanks for making it available.
