I’ve seen this Oscar nominee. It’s very rare and awfully good. It offers an interesting perspective on the meaning of “home front.” Zoltan Fabri’s direction isn’t subtle but it’s often effective: When one of their number dies and they’re filling his grave, the sound of the dirt on the coffin is indistinguishable from the bombs that drop around them.
